As adapted by Canadian dramatist Judith Thompson, this famous tragedy of a dangerous woman takes on a new life and perspective. Produced by Phylloxera Productions, and featuring a remarkable cast of Seacoast area acting veterans, Producer/Director Gary Locke says, “’Hedda Gabler’ will be one of the highlights of this theatrical season.”

Newly married to a man she does not love, and bored and troubled, Hedda sets out to subvert the lives of those around her and ultimately destroys herself. “This fresh new translation by Thompson adheres faithfully to the text, yet manages to be fresh and modern,” says Locke.
