RENEWAL, America's Religious Environmental Movement

Friday, Feb. 19
7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Souhegan Valley Interfaith Council

The Souhegan Valley Interfaith Council, in continuing their commitment to stewardship of God's creation, invites you to a showing and discussion of  "RENEWAL", a 90 minute documentary that captures America's religious environmental movement, at the Unitarian Universalist church, 20 Elm St, Milford.

Across the nation, people of faith are standing up for the environment. Evangelical Christians are fighting mountaintop removal, a coal mining process that is decimating Appalachia. Muslims are supporting sustainable farming.  Jews are helping children experience the bond between nature and spirituality.

Please join members of the Sounhegan Valley's religious communities to view and discuss over refreshments these exciting stories of people whose passion and deep moral commitment are making a difference in a time of grave ecological threats.

The mission of the Souhegan Valley Interfaith Council is to provide a tangible religious witness in the community through promotion of understanding and cooperation among member congregations and individuals.  We are always in need of committed persons to help us establish and fulfill our goals.  You are welcome to contact us at svinterfaith@hotmail.com.
