Tim vanBlommesteyn is running as an Independent candidate for New Hampshire's Second Congressional District.
He is not a politician. As a father and small business owner, he believes at this critical time in our nation’s history, the long term interests of the country must come ahead of party interests. He is concerned that our children will not have the same opportunity he had to build a successful future because we don’t have the political will to confront today’s many challenges: a Federal debt in excess of $13 Trillion, unfunded promises for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid over $60 Trillion, forecast large deficits projected for years, skyrocketing health care costs, an energy policy in disarray, immigration reform that has languished, and entitlement reform that is nonexistent. He believes we can and must do better.
Tim is running a grassroots Independent campaign to talk, and listen, to Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, women and men, old and old- anyone interested in the pressing needs of our time. It's time for civil discourse. It's time to seek common ground and sensible solutions. Tim hopes people will get engaged and will challenge him and all other candidates to talk issues and solutions and leave the usual empty rhetoric and personal attacks out of this election.
